This school year I am teaching Math Course 3 and Algebra I.  Please look weekly for my classroom updates to be in the know of the weekly skills we are working on in class!  As always please be sure to email me.

Math can be a struggle for students and it tends to lead to dislike or frustration.  My goal is to help your student and dedicate time to ensure their success.  We will work together to ensure the success of your student!

Here are a few ideas:

  • internet math games such as coolmath.com
  • purchase math workbook based off your child’s level
  • khan academy has great video lessons to practice skills
  • math tutoring with me, after or before school

Have your child recognize math is all around them.  Ask them to help you budget at the grocery store, estimate costs for back to school clothes, look for sales and take percentages off discount items.  All of these are real life situations that require math basic skills of multiplication, division, addition and subtraction.

Communication is key.  If they seem to struggle at home with homework, please let me know so I can make time to work with them individually.
